Gary Hendricks-Dominguez is the Deputy Director of International Marketing & Promotions at the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT), where he oversees global marketing strategy and market development across key regions including the Americas, Europe, and emerging markets. With over 18 years of experience in destination marketing, he leads international campaigns, aviation partnerships, and strategic initiatives designed to position the Cayman Islands competitively in an increasingly crowded Caribbean landscape.
Gary’s work focuses on capturing new traveler segments through data-driven insights, digital innovation, and strategic partnerships. He has spearheaded market expansion strategies that extend the destination’s reach beyond traditional source markets, making him well-versed in the challenges and opportunities of competing for high-value travelers from rapidly growing economies.
He holds an MBA in Marketing from Lynn University, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a Digital Marketing Certification from the Digital Marketing Institute of Ireland. Gary is passionate about leveraging emerging market dynamics to drive sustainable tourism growth and is committed to positioning small island destinations for success in the global competition for the next generation of travelers.
